"Shakers and Makers. We Build Smiles..."

Shakers and Makers has been set up to provide fun on an affordable budget. Helping youngsters explore their creative side in a 'mess all areas' zone and express themselves through music and movement. For the crafts, using recycled materials where possible, we are also trying to show that fun can, and will be had, with everyday items and household goods.

We are FOCUSED!

Whilst being fun loving mothers of two young children, we are also very aware of the fact that our children are constantly learning, listening and growing. With this in mind, we aim to structure our sessions around the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) whilst staying fun, physical and messy!

The EYFS sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. The 4 main principles are:

  •  Every child is a UNIQUE child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
  • Children learn to be strong and independent through POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS
  • Children learn and develop well in ENABLING ENVIRONMENTS in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers.
  • Children DEVELOP AND LEARN in different ways and at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.

All in all, we are just...

Two mums with lots of ideas and bundles of energy.  We want to bring creativitymusic, dance, exercise and craft into the lives of your little ones.

Come along and try our session and see what you think!

If you're a nursery, why not get in contact with us and see what we can do to help your children?

With fun to be had and mess to be made, who wouldn't want to learn in an environment like ours!
